Alpha Salon and Day Spa
This was a re-creation of a previous site, using contemporary code and structure, while sticking as closely to the previous design as possible. The client wanted to move away from flash, to a more accessible, search-engine-friendly standard XHTML website, but wanted to keep their previous design, as well as basic functionality. Most importantly to the client was to require as little clicking as possible (so all of the secondary navigation is mouse-over based) and absolutely no reloading. This was accomplished though the use of advanced stylesheets and javascript, though the site degrades gracefully when viewed with a browser incapable of these technologies, as any properly coded and accessible website should.
